Tees Valley Mayor officially opens our 11th site

We held an opening ceremony with Ben Houchen, Tees Valley Mayor, doing the ribbon cutting honours at our brand-new branch following a £4.5m investment.

The purpose-built four-acre site is our 11th branch and the second in the Teesside area, it’s easily accessible via the A19 Portrack Interchange on White House Innovation Park, New Road TS23 1LE.

The Billingham branch will work alongside the already existing branch in Stockton, bringing a fleet of 11 vehicles and a stock-value of an estimated £2.25m to the trade in the region.

Kevin Dawson, regional sales manager said: “We are delighted to officially open our Billingham site in an excellent location to further support the Teesside trade. We have an unrivalled range of readily available building products and an experienced team with extensive knowledge of the Teesside area.

This site is our largest investment to date and we are immensely thankful of all the hard work and dedication from the James Burrell team to get site ready for our customers. We are really proud of this impressive site and are thrilled to be opening it up to the Teesside trade. We look forward to welcoming customers, both new and old“.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: “We’ve got spades in the ground right across Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool, whether it be on multi-million redevelopments of our train stations, construction on the Teesworks site continuing or great local businesses like James Burrell expanding and building new facilities all of this creates more demand for firms and more jobs for local people.

“This £4.5m investment in a new Billingham branch will sit alongside their Stockton site to meet the demand for all the work we’ve got going on to transform the region.”
