Meet Shane

I am part of the Internal Sales Team at our exciting new Billingham Branch.

I've been with the company since the branch opened in September.

With me being fairly new, it's about building a relationship with our customer base both old and new. Touching base with them, introducing myself and offering another friendly face that they feel they can trust to deliver what we say we will. Any new prospective customers that want to open an account we will talk about the benefits and how we can help service their business moving forward. Ultimately the goal is building key relationships with our customers.

When I left school I did my apprenticeship as an electrical installer. I then worked with a DIY retailer for the next 11 years under their management programme. I worked for Halfords for 3 years as a Cluster Sales Manager, looking after branches throughout the North East enhancing their sales proposition. I then moved on to work within the builders merchant industry as an Assistant Branch Manager and later in Senior Sales.

For me, the structure and process seems really simplified and it maximises efficiency. I have found myself saying this is brilliant numerous times as I feel very fortunate to have found myself in this way of working.

I love simple things in life like time spent with my partner and the kids to recharge and re-focus. Sundays are about football for me! We are a football mad family and I wouldn't have it any other way.
